Visitation  Visitation is Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Only immediate family members of an inmate are allowed to visit during authorized visitation hours. Family consists of: Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Grandmother, Grandfather, Husband, Wife, and Children. The visitor must not have been incarcerated within the last six months at any location or incarcerated in the Pratt County Jail in the last five years, and have a valid state or government issued photo ID. No visitors under 18 years of age. Visitation may be cancelled at any time by the Sheriff or Undersheriff.

Prisoners are allowed up to 15 minutes per visit. These visits are conducted via the Internet from video stations located in prisoner housing units, Jail Lobby, and from PCs at home. This system is a product of City Tele Coin and allows prisoners more visits and less restrictive visitation hours. It requires less staff and less travel by visitors resulting in savings to both the visitor and general public.

Bond For in inmate to be released on bond, the inmate has three options. The first is to come up with the full amount of the bond in cash. The inmate can have a friend/family member come up with the entire amount of the bond in cash for them as well. The second way is to have an authorized bail bondsman post the bond for them. The third is for a judge to submit an order for an "own recognizance" bond. This means that at the stated time and date, the inmate is allowed to leave on their own recognizance. This third method is not as common as the first two. None of the previously mentioned bonding procedures will release the inmate from charges or responsibility to attend the designated court date, but merely releases them from being housed in our facility.

Personal Property Money and personal items that are on an inmate when they arrive at our facility will be confiscated, recorded, and secured in a locker or safe until the inmate is released. Upon completion of the release paperwork, the money and personal items that the inmate had will be returned to them. We do not have a commissary in our facility, so no money is needed while an inmate is incarcerated.

Personal property, including money, may be released to family of an inmate if the inmate chooses to do so. A form will be filled out ahead of time by the inmate, it will be reviewed by our administrative staff, and arrangements will be made by the party involved in picking up the property.

Health Needs If an inmate has a health need, they will fill out a Medical Request Form, it will be reviewed by our administrative staff, and forwarded if needed. In case of emergency, the inmate will be transported to Pratt Regional Medical Center for treatment, then returned as soon as available to the Detention Center.

Inmate Provisions All cells in our facility are equipped with telephones. The telephones are set to make collect calls only. There are no circumstances where an inmate will receive incoming phone calls. In case of a family emergency where an inmate must be notified, the family member should give the information to the Detention Officer on duty. The Detention Officer will review the information, and if it is viewed as an actual emergency, that message will be immediately delivered to the inmate.

Inmates are furnished with a pencil, piece of paper, and envelope. The inmate is to provide their own stamps. For family members/friends who wish to provide an inmate with stamps, they may either hand-deliver them to the Detention Officer at the facility, or mail them to the inmate directly. If an inmate is unable to obtain a stamp, one stamp will be provided by the facility per week. All incoming mail is opened and searched for contraband before being delivered to the inmates.

Inmates are provided with all necessary toiletries as well as a jumpsuit and sandals. Socks and underwear may be brought to this jail but must be new and still in the package. Laundry is done for the inmates as needed. In the event an inmate is to attend a jury trial, regular clothes may be brought to the facility for the inmate during the trial one day in advance.
