At approximately 8:40 p.m. on this date the Pratt County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the report of a family that was robbed at gunpoint.

On arrival a Sheriff’s Officer discovered a vehicle approximately 11.5 miles north of Pratt on U.S. 281 highway with multiple family members in the vehicle. As they were traveling north another vehicle passed them and then slowed in their lane of travel and stopped.  Two men got out of a dark grey small SUV type vehicle and approached the victim.  One of the men produced a handgun, broke out the driver’s side window and demanded money.

The driver handed over his billfold and at that time was hit in the head with the handgun.  The two suspects got into their vehicle and fled north on U.S. 281.

Pratt County Emergency Services were called to treat the victim.  The victim refused transport and was treated at the scene for a cut on his head.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.  The Pratt County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
