On this date at approximately 12:57 this morning a Pratt County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on Lake Rd. approximately 2 miles west of SE 25th Ave. The suspect vehicle had went left of center, into the ditch and back up on the roadway. When the Sheriff’s Officer activated his emergency lights the suspect vehicle sped away, went south on SE 10th Ave., to SE 60th St., and then made numerous turns on county roads.
The suspect vehicle eventually got onto K-42 Highway, west to SE 50th. Ave., and was stopped by another Sheriff’s Officer at SE. 50th Ave.., and SE 70th. St.
The driver, 22 year old, Kyle Hammond was taken into custody and booked into the Pratt County Jail for Felony Flee and Elude, and Felony Drive While Suspended along with numerous traffic violations.
A female passenger that was in the vehicle was briefly detained at the scene and released, with the Sheriff’s Office getting her safely home.
There were no injuries or damage to property during this pursuit.
