September 14, 2010

News Release

Aggravated Battery

A fight early Monday morning has left a Pratt County man hospitalized in Wichita.  At approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sept. 13, a Pratt County Sheriff’s Officer was called to a residence in Preston to remove a disorderly and drunk subject from the reporting party’s property.

On arrival, the Sheriff’s officer found a white male lying on the ground in the front yard of the reporting person’s property bleeding profusely from his face and the officer immediately called for Pratt County Emergency Services.

The fight was the result of a night of drinking and fighting by multiple persons. The alleged victim was extremely uncooperative and combative with the officer and medical staff.  The alleged victim was transported by Pratt County Emergency Services to PRMC and later transferred to Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

The investigation is continuing however no names are being released at this time.
