Jimmy Daniels, the subject of an intense manhunt by the Pratt County Sheriff's Office was captured last night in Westmoreland, Tennessee, without incident shortly after 9:00 p.m. Daniels was wanted on a warrant out of Pratt County for rape of a minor.
The US Marshals Office, Sumner County Tennessee Sheriff's Office, Sedgwick County Kansas Sheriff's Office, and the Barber County Sheriff's Office all assisted in the capture of Daniels. The search for Daniels was very active within minutes of the completion of the investigation of this rape, with an attempt to stop Daniels in another jurisdiction within a few hours of the manhunt, resulting in a chase where Daniels fled from the vehicle on foot and eluded capture. Tips were constant and very helpful.
Extradition efforts with the court system are ongoing and this office will extradite as soon as possible.
The Pratt County Sheriff's Office would like to thank all agencies that assisted, the media for their help and the public for all the calls we received.
No other information will be released.
